Finally, my husband is back. We are laughing before bed and actually getting things done during the day! I never thought I would be happy to see the summer go....but I was. The summer work schedule at the Boys and Girls Club was intense. So...yay for shorter work days and fewer kids and more down time. Yay that we can carpool some! Yay that he is with me when i wake up in the mornings and has can talk to me before we fall asleep(this makes my heart very happy).
On an non-yay note.....Bernie Mac died. His show cracked me up. I hope they keep showing re-runs. He also had really a really expressive face. not that that has ANYTHING to do with whether or not he was a man of faith .....i don't know. but he was funny to me on that show. not so sure about his stand up.
i also miss the olympics. I loved them being in China. I loved all the little NBC morning episodes where they traveled within China and explored their culture. Why? B/c I have been there. The US training spot was in the city I studied in for a summer. Dalian. It's beautiful there. And most importantly, I felt I was a little more in touch with Rachel, Stan, Kirby, and Bennett. They don't live in Beijing, but I at least could think....oh...it's dark there now, or maybe they are seeing this on some street shop tv. Rachel and I went together in 2000. A lot has changed since then in China. I felt a little proud of them too.
Thats all for the random post. We should have some pics soon when Santa (my brother Roy) delivers Jason with a new stash of DC stuff.

Vacation/Crunk?
Jason and I just got back from a long vacation. Jason's parents came for a visit the first weekend of vacation. Next, we headed off to Atlantic Beach, NC. We had one night of quiet before Jason's sister, brother-in-law, and three nephews came for a couple of days. I still don't know how Mandy does it with three little ones at home. They were a lot of fun and full of a lot of energy. I am not sure that my plan to convince Jason that we need to start our own family was successful. If anything, it might have made him want to wait even longer! Ha! I just keep telling him that it's not likely that we will have twins and a preemie baby all at once like Jason's sister and husband. ....and besides....I am planning on a sweet little girl. (not that it's up to me) I still kind of miss hearing those boys outside of our bedroom door saying "Kaf-leen and Jaayyy-son".
ing such a close game. Sneaky MOM! Next, she asked us a good question, " What does crunk mean?" If you know, please let us know. The only way I knew how to answer was that it is a really bad (in my opinion) style of rap. That is probably the wrong answer.

Asher Daniel Chappell
Casey and Dan welcomed Asher into the world Saturday night. He quickly went to Heaven to live forever with God.
Jason and I got to visit them at UNC yesterday. Their strong faith during this time is such a blessing to others.
Check out their blog to learn more about Asher Daniel and his parents.
***Casey and Dan are also requesting that people do not wear black to the service for Asher. They want people to praise God for his works***
