This past Sunday night Jason and I had the opportunity to go and stay at the Fearrington Inn in Pittsboro. Some sweet friends gave us a one night stay. When we arrived, we were told that they had upgraded our room. Oh I have never stayed somewhere so nice! Cashmere robes, slippers, heated towels, fireplace, chocolates, fancy toiletries....luxury!
We checked in at 3pm. After standing with our mouths open in our room for a few minutes we headed out to look around the little community. The village has a cute book store, garden store, gift shop, and other eclectic shops. Jason was really thrilled by the "Belty" cows that were on the property. We also walked through a folk art sale in the big barn.
High Tea was from 4-5. Even it was wonderful. Dinner was later that night. WOW!! Amazing food. We got dressed up. It was fun! The next morning we got up and went to a fabulous breakfast. Reality struck.....b/c it was Monday....which meant back to work.
It was wonderful to get away for the night. You must be wondering what Charlie was up to while we were gone. He was having a ball with his wonderful JeJe (my mom). He even decided to wake up more than usual during the night....just to spend more time with her. He is so thoughtful! I can't thank Mom enough for allowing us to not worry at all as we enjoyed our getaway!
